I have been meaning to tell you about a fantastic charity dinner Kitchen Needs attended on Saturday night called Saturday Night Kitchen Live.We were spoilt with 4 chiefs cooking for us, they were James Martin, Chris and James Tanner, Martin Blunos and Daniel Galmiche,
The meal consisted of ......
Of all the questions that we ask prospective clients, the one that they stumble on most of all is the budget. This is now a question we ask to be nosy, or to calculate profit margins, but it is as essential as all the other questions that we pose. The budget is the key to the whole process of kitchen design; that is not to say that the more money you spend, the better the kitchen, but the right budget in the hands of a good designer, can make all the difference. As a bespoke design studio, we are able to offer clients anything that they can think of and a lot more besides and this can present dilemmas for clients when the question of what they want to spend arises. When thinking of your budget, you have to think what it is to include; is it just the kitchen units, appliances and work surfaces, or is it for the whole room. When thinking of the whole room, there are other questions that crop up, and it is not until you get into the studio and are asked lots of questions that you come to realise what’s involved. Some questions for you to ponder..........Have you considered : lights, if so, what type of fittings, switching etc, what about decoration, floor finish, window dressing, heating and so the list goes on.......
More to follow folks.
